Introduction to Virtual Appointments
Although we can now see patients face to face in the clinic those who are shielding or vulnerable may choose to book an online appointment. Some patients now choose online appointments for convenience.
As a practice established for over 28 years and with our physiotherapists having a combined experience of over 200 years, embracing modern electronic communication is not natural for some of us. However, we have been surprised at the number of patients asking if we can provide virtual appointments. With the knowledge and experience we possess and taking guidance from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the NHS we have decided to introduce virtual assessments. By accessing this service we can diagnose new conditions, offer advice to self-manage and provide exercises to help recovery. We can monitor progress and give more advanced advice to speed up recovery.
With many of us now working from home this can be a mixed blessing. If you have a niggling injury this is the time to rest, and use gentle exercises and stretching to aid recovery. If you are working at a computer at a work station that has been correctly set up the risk of neck, shoulder and bank pain increases. If you do get an injury we can help you recover and also advise you on how to set up your work station to reduce the risk of further problems.
